Welcome to my website! I am Ankita Katre, a computational materials scientist, currently working in CMS, University of Pune, Pune, India. My research thrust revolves around understanding the transport properties in technologically interesting materials. I have been involved in the development and application of 'almaBTE' simulation package for predicting thermal transport in materials from quantum mechanical perspective. I am also working on Machine Learning models for materials science.

Besides being a researcher, I love to sing. I have been trained in Indian Classical Music since my childhood and performed in several state level solo classical competitions. During my stay in France, I also learnt some aspects of Western Classical Music and old French Music. I have performed in a few concerts in Grenoble last summer. Apart from that, I love to travel and understand the vivid cultures in different countries.
